Undue Weight Jews

[edit]

I dont think his issues with Jews is so notable as to be mentioned in the lead. That is just undue weight. There are barely one incident of Jew hatred. As for issues with mixed race people just check (as I have not checked the entire article) the nasty things that were said about him by brown skin African Americans. Namely DuBois. I think calling the man a monkey might give context for his violent outburst Hausa warrior (talk) 15:25, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't this have some sources?

[edit]

"Garvey was a controversial figure. Some in the African diasporic community regarded him as a pretentious demagogue and they were highly critical of his collaboration with white supremacists, his violent rhetoric and his prejudice against mixed-race people and Jews. He received praise for encouraging a sense of pride and self-worth among Africans and the African diaspora amid widespread poverty, discrimination and colonialism."
